The Rodillian Academy was inspected in January 2016 and was judged overall as a Good school with Outstanding categories in:

  • Effectiveness of leadership and management, and
  • Personal development, behaviour and welfare

Ofsted visited again in October 2019 and reported that we continue to be a Good school.  Highlights from the report include:

“Leaders and teachers expect the best of all pupils. They make sure that pupils study a range of different subjects. Pupils achieve well in English, mathematics and science. This is not at the expense of other subjects such as art, physical education and history. Pupils are very well prepared for their next steps.”

“Pupils benefit from a carefully planned curriculum and high-quality teaching”

“Pupils learn in a calm and supportive environment”

“Pupils with SEND achieve well and value the extra support they get with their reading”

“In the Sixth Form, teachers have good subject expertise”
